Very bizzare network issue, any help would be awesome

I have a very weird problem where my network connections all of a sudden just drop out. Everything was cool for 2 years, now at random times I am unable to browse the net or connect to any of my xboxs on the network. But the funny thing is while all these things don't connect, my downloads would be still downloading.

I can only fix this by rebooting and then everything is ok for another 12-24 hours. My only assumption is my network card or whatever is overheating for whatever reason.

If anyone can please shed some light on this, I would greatly appreciate the help.

yeah thats a weird occurence..ive never had that kind of problem i have had my router just shutdown and not work at all but never had where ur downloads were still going and not be able to connect to yer xbox on the network or surf the web...like you said it might have something to do with your network card..also what kind of router are you using and what NIC card you have? or maybe it has something to do with your firewall or ports too
