This question is off topic: Can anyone find something about this company: KRANZBUHLER MEDIZINISCHE SISTEME GmBH?

Is the company still in bussines or not, contact info, web, e.t.c!

Thanks for all input!

Lol pippero, this thread was talking about sticks a lightyear long, with a weight attached to the end... not 8 pages back. Too bad you missed it.

Anyway, reguarding the nuclear waste issue. I DO realize all the pros and cons about producing such power. The problem is, one type of polution, which is really waste, is seen as worse the pollution that goes into the air (aka greenhouse gasses, like co2). Another issue is people still think every reactor made will explode in the same way chernobyle did. THAT WONT happen.

Also, I did not say people date within 30% of their age. read it again.

love this thread, have ready every post.

new topic:
Comptia_rep, I just noticed your avatar looks a lot like a rotor in a Wankel engine. is it?

/lock

joking! hehehhehe. This thread is beter then the entire "other" section, but dont tell those guys that. :)

Anyway....

Example of bad science posting:

Study says global warming isn’t sun’s fault
Analysis disputes claims that solar radiance is behind rising temperatures

MSN "Researchers from Germany, Switzerland and the United States found that the sun’s brightness varied by only 0.07 percent over 11-year sunspot cycles, far too little to account for the rise in temperatures since the Industrial Revolution."

Now there is a "22" year cycle the sun goes though, not 11 year. And 11 years is hardly 120 years or more.
---------------------
Studies have shown though indirect testing that energy output from the sun has been much higher in the past, which would account for higher overall global temps... but they do not mention that at all.

Science isn't an exact science. We haven't been doing this long enough to start claiming knowledge about anything. We effectively don't know about the high low cycles that every celestial body including this blue ball goes through. to claim that we know what exactly is going on is fallacy. What do you think?

Correct. However, some studies have been able to go back a million or more years, reguarding global warming. We can see the cycles of ice ages and global warm periods go back as far as we can mesure the Ice. This period of global warming

1.) has lasted longer then the rest,
2.) is cooler then the average warm periods, and
3.) No human causes possible.

Now if I had more time (leaving in 3 minutes), I would go over some other factors, but those are the main ones.

One arguement against these factual findings that confuses me because i have never seen it made is: The position of the continants during the last 10/15 ice ages. That makes a big differences.

ok going home for the weekend See you guys later.

WOOOOOOOOW! have we arrived to this on thisthread; talking about glacial eras??? 😀 I like it. Can I talk about dinosaurs when we come to that???

You can talk about the temperature of your fridge for all we care. It just makes this a hell of alot more fun.
What about dinosaurs anyway? How do you think they became extinct? Metor, aliens? Republicans?

Sure, but the discusion was about nuclear reactors, which I like very much.
Do you know that the divided part of the reactor's cap was flying 2km up in the chernobyl sky. It was few tons heavy...I wish one day to have such power supply:)

Don't they have to recap the reactor at Chernobyl because the original remidiation job was kinda rushed? I think I read somewhere that the rain is degrading the cap on top of the explosion site.

Yes they had to make a mountain of concrete that costed more than $20,000,000,000 itself alone. But the real damage is much more than that. Anyway, nuclear energy is the cheapest and only clean source of energy that can supply the earth.

Sorry misread your post. Still the formula (1/2 age + 7) is (at least where I live) a pretty widely accepted standard (at least for men). So within 5 years doesn't really work. Think about somebody who is 50. They wouldn't think it was that socially unacceptable to date somebody who was 40 (or 32 via formula).

I also agree with you about people being worried (somewhat rightly so) about meltdowns. I think that once again, our technologic level has advanced enough to make this much less of a worry. What if we worried about building dams because if they failed, entire communities would be wiped out? Where would Las Vegas be with out the Hoover Dam? My entire province (and much of the US Western Seaboard too) is powered by hydro energy.

hehe :) You are wrong.
The eletricity power network is powering your entire province and the rest of the USA. You are supplied by various power plants, all connected to a power network of all your continent.
The advantage of producing energy by using water potentionals is the best control over and the fastest response. You can start or stop hydro turbine within a seconds and control the produced energy by the power generator. But you may need years to do the same with nuclear reactors or days for coal oven. The water can be accomulated in natural or man-made accomulations, natural or with pumps and than spend when needed. It is important becouse the demand for energy is changing during the day and during the seasons. The power generators must supply all users on the entire network, all the time. If you have enough water potentionals, you can produce energy more effective with less energy wasted.

There is really no reason to be worried about meltdowns. That fear has been played up by the media and enviromentalists. Three mile Island was a fluke and the clean up was hampered by efforts of an EPA controlled by people to scarred to take immediate action.
Nuclear regulatory laws are far more stringent than they were back in the 50's. There is almost no chance of this happening.
Then again there is Murphy's Law.

Sorry, I was generalizing. I mean that my province produces more hydro energy than our entire energy consumption and we sell much or our extra power to the US. And I agree than hydro power is great. It is just not feasible for many parts of the world.

A good old fashioned China Syndrome would give Wal*Mart a direct line to their suppliers, however. Would save billions of gallons of fuel in shipping the stuff. 8)

This thread has a topic? :)

They were purchased by GE:
GE Medical Systems, for example, is gaining share in the U.S. market, and with the acquisition of Kranzbuhler Medical Systems GmbH (Solingen, Germany), announced in April 1996, GE has established a solid position in the German market.

You can probably get in touch with them here:

or, not sure how current this address is:

We don't need no stinkin topic :x 😀
WalMart scares me. Walmart with China syndrome... 8O
Exit2Dos what do you know about string theory?

It's all a conspiracy. Edward Whitten & Brian Greene have teamed up to take over the world. Just try to imagine a pan-dimensional Calib Yau space. If you try hard enough, your brain will explode. Now, traditional Quantum Physics will tell you that your brain exploding will actually happen before you imagine this, but with String Theory you have to consider that your brain could've exploded before, during or after - not to mention that in some dimensions, it might have imploded.

Greene & Whitten are just waiting somewhere (probably in the 8th dimension) until everybody's brain is either completely fried (dead), or permantly malfuntioning (fanboys).

I believe they call this "M"-Theory - Where the "M" stands for:
Myitwouldbefunnyifeveryonesbrainexplodesandwecomeoutofthe8thdimensionandtakeovertheworld.

Sidebar:
There is now a group afraid of the new Particle Accelerator at CERN (the Large Hadron Collider):
Our goal is to prevent, and also make plans on surviving when possible, particle accelerator mishaps including quantum vacuum collapse, mining the quantum vacuum, formation of a stable stranglet, and the creation of artificial mini-black holes.
http://lifeboat.com/ex/particle.accelerator.shield

Seems they are concerned about not being able to stop the mini-black holes.

Thanks for the explaination. 😀
It all makes sense to me now.
BTW take a look at the Open Letter to AMD thread. Some jackass is calling Spud a moron, Action Man a idiot, gOJDO a marxist and me a 14 year old.

Yeah, just another person taking a good debate and turning it into a flame session. Sounds like he has a few personal or insecurity problems he's trying to work through by belittling others. Maybe there's too many other bones in his girlfriend. 8O

I have no problem with different opinions, but when someone throws an attitude like that when not personally attacked - especially at senior forum members - it's obvious that he's arguing over his head and just lashing out.

Notice: I'm not saying that the senior forum members are always right, or that one shouldn't argue with them. I just think they deserve a little more respect, as most have helped hundreds (if not thousands) of others with their knowledge & advice.
