Hello,
I recently bought the TP WN722N USB Wireless Adapter, on ethernet cord, I get about 40mbps.
But on this, I about 500-800kbps. I was wondering if this was just the wifi adapter or something else, because I heard it capable of doing more than it currently is.

Thank You

I've had mine for a long time a guess its just the way it is I feel a lot on my end is due to lackluster service from my provider due to living in a poor 3ed world rural area of the U.S of A with a out dated or overloaded tower system , but that's something I got to understand and live with around here ?

I thought about getting a newer adaptor but when you read most reviews like at newegg I don't see where there doing much better -

sad thing is any internet service around here is just poor and well below standard unless you live in big town or a more populated area where they invest in

like I see its not all that great and by no means anything like cable or hardwire above 56k service
I use verison mifi -[ its that or 56k att dial up] I live in a poor rual 3ed world part of the US of A .. not even att offers dsl for use yet to this day 2016 and that's the best that can be done for me .. I can say at times I think that 56k worked better some days ..

and any internet I try here I never get what I pay for by a long way if your in a suck butt area you suffer and pay out the nose lie here you think it was still 1990's at best
satellite sucks harder and cost more if you were to ask [dismal ]

I'm using a tplink tl-wn821-n rev2 [ Atheros ]

I do notice laptops do far better for some reason ? why I don't know , wish I did and apply it to my desktop ?

I look at your model and seems to get good end user reviews one thing I see for sure with mine is the larger the download is the slower it gets and like I tried to get 3d mark firestrike and never could complete get about 50% and just ends like the downloads complete . several trys and all failed the same way ?????? so I go to a buddy in big town with his cable internet and get them kind of things

well like att dsl / 56k or anything attt its easy just about a phone call to them to get service the problem comes in when you want to stop there service that's a issue and ordeal major pain in the rear to get that done and over with ,, they don't let you go with out a fight , LOl......

like for me sad thing is today year 2016 the best hardwire internet service is still good old 56k like from back in the 1980's

I've looked over a lot of tips and tricks on my wireless and nothing makes t any better just seems life using wireless service

some days it great some not so , changes like the wind around here

like the guy said above about how many ''bars'' you had here it don't matter 5 bars 3 bars all the same I think its just something they give you to look at

I can see a crap day with full bars just as well as a good day with 2 or 3 ???
