I'm not sure about you, but around here it basically works like this.

When something funny happens, you laugh.
When something sad (or mindblowingly funny) happens, you cry.
If neither occur, you do neither. (Like now)

How come there is no comparison of performance with say ATI/nV Silencer?

How much better they are?

What about Accelero X1? Why haven't you tested at least one nV aftermarket cooler? In other words, what is the quietest and coolest thing (other than water) for say 7800GT at the moment?

I just got an X1950XTX and I saw the stock cooler can be auto or full. How do you change the speed? Is it in the catalyst control that you can set the speed? I was looking but could only see overclocking.

I have not used a 1950 but have controlled 1900s using ATI Tool.

ATI tool is the best for fan speed control. You can set a temperature that you want the card to maintain (fan speed will increase if temp goes up). Or you can set different fan speeds at different temperatures (what most people do). Or you can just manually set a constant fan speed.
