Hey everyone, So I have a Z170A SLI MSI motherboard and my VGA light popped on today. I haven't done anything new to my computer all I did was unplug it and move it upstairs last night. All I could think of was maybe I bumped a cord out? So I opened up my old gal and took a look inside I tried taking out my GPU and plugging it back in removing cords and reattaching them all the basic trouble shooting I'm gonna give resetting cmos a try but wanted to see if anyone has any tips for me? Should I Triple check my cords? Unplug stuff in my PSU and put it back in? It looks like i have power to my GPU It is lit up but the fans aren't on.

MSI Z170A SLI Plus

EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 SC GAMING ACX 3.0 Black Edition

CPU i5 6600k

Solution
try a different PCIe slot, and if you have it, different power cables.

Otherwise, yeah, you want to test your EVGA card on another system, and if you can, test another graphics card on your system.

I've reset all that, unplugged everything and plugged it back in including my GPU I've done all the basic trouble shooting even reset CMOS still no luck 🙁 my GPU doesn't even have a VGA input so I can't test anything unless I get a different one which is a challenge for me. I'm contacting evga now to see if they say anything.
