Video card won't work on this system?!

Hello,

I just purchsed an MSI G4Ti4200-VTD8X AGP card for use with my T-Bird 1.33ghz/Epox 8K7a (AMD-761 chipset) system. When I turn on my system, before it is able to POST, power is cut off. Power gets to the video card, as the fan spins. I have removed all other PCI cards, swapped memory, and reseated the video card many times, but to no avail. When I use my old video card, it works with no problem.

I also put the new MSI card on another machine, and I had no problems.

Any suggestions?

Not sure but does the video card have an extra power connection on it?
Whats your power supply wattage?
Sounds like the power supply cant keep up with the requirements of your system.

Computer turns on. Card turns on, increasing power requirement. Power supply senses overload and turns off.

At least you have overload protection, another poster keeps getting cheap power supplies with no overload protection, they just go up in smoke and he can't figure out why!

Haha, never actually had an Antec blow up! Just their budget class products not offering the power they were rated at.
