Question Viotek GFT27DB 144hz keeps turning off

I just recently got a Viotek GFT27DB and have it connected with a DP cable. My issue is sometimes it will randomly switch down to 120hz and when I go to switch it back 144 isn't even an option. A temporary fix is switching Freesync on the monitor off and back on, 144hz will show back up afterwards. But I don't know how to permanently fix it as I would like.
