Question Virtual machine with raw access to physical drive -- boots to UEFI Interactive Shell

On a Linux host, I set up a VM in VirtualBox, to gain raw access to my physical Windows 10 drive, which is UEFI boot. I set permissions.
When I start up the VM it boots to UEFI Interactive Shell and I can't figure out how to get out of it. Changing the boot order doesn't help.
When I enter the following commands
fs0:
fs1:
it says it is not a correct mapping.

So, you want to give Ubuntu' VM, running on Windows host, physical access to that same drive Windows is running on?

No, it is actually a MX Linux host, not a Windows host. The guest is Windows raw.

From this thread over here, it sounds like EFI boot is just too problematic for raw disk access.
