Hello,
I recently replaced the hard drive in my acer 4630z laptop with VISTA. I installed a WD 1tb drive. I imaged the old drive, then transferred the image to the new drive. The drive functions, except that it reports the wrong size in properties. If I run Belarc advisor it shows that the machine contains 100.20 gb hard drive. If I click on properties it shows 68gb. Everything I read talks about re-partitioning the drives, or setting something in BIOS. Nobody mentiones that this has hapened after they changed the drive. I also read something about the jumper settings on the drive might be wrong, but they are the same as the removed drive, which is also a WD. What advice do I listen to? I am kind of lost!

What size was the capacity of the source partition you created that image from? If it was smaller than 1TB & you did not tell the image restore software to resize the image to fill the new drive, the partition on the new drive will be the same size as on the old one.
