Vista system display wrong?

Hi Everyone,

Probably have a very simple question with equally simple answer!!

I've overclocked my q6600 running on an asus p5kc board to 3ghz, which is displayed in bios and under load in CPUZ but when i right click on my comp and view the system properties it's listed at 2.39ghz?

is this something to do with throttling etc and how can i disable it if possible?

It should have two speeds shown, at least with SP1. Something like:

Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 CPU          6600 @ 2.39GHz 3.0GHz
