after installing vista on my HDD i go to start it for the fisrt time but i keep getting blue screens and cant acctually start it does anyone know what causes the blue screens. Ps I know its not my system as everything worked very well under XP with no crashes or blue screens and all my hardware worked as it should.

Q6600 8800 GTS 512MB x2 4GB RAM OCZ-6400 800 mhz which i know to be compatible with vista as it is listed on their website and have had it working in a vista system before.
 
There is a Vista bug affecting some systems when you install with three or more gig of RAM. Easiest way to see if that's your problem is to just remove 2 gig and see if she loads with 2. If we are lucky and that does the trick then there is a hotfix to download.
 


Either remove 1G or buy another 1G, 3 modules screws up your dual channel capability!

And from my own personal experience 2 X 2G = 4G is much better!, [performance wise], than 4 X 1G = 4G.
