Volume on taskbar

Hi everyone,

My volume icon on my taskbar keeps disappearing. I have Windows Vista Home Premium and I can't seem to figure out how to get it back on my taskbar. Can someone help? I've looked at the suggestions but it appears they're for Windows XP and I can't figure it out. Guess I'm just being dense today cause I usually can figure stuff like this out. It may take awhile, but usually get it. LOL!

Right click on the desktop task bar (bottom of screen). Click on Properties. Click on the Notification Area tab. Select Volume.

That's already checked. That's what I had done previously but still couldn't see the volume icon in the lower right corner of my screen. Thanks though.
