Ok. This problem has me stumped. I have two puters. thunderbird 800 epox board VIA chipset, Geforce 2 GTS 32mb scoring 6800 on 3dWinmark 2000. and a Thunderbird 950 Abit MoBo Via Chipset, with a 3dfx Voodoo 5/5500 64 mb AGP. scoring 4500 on 3d WinMark 2000. I have (per 3dfx) set everything in bios as it should and installed the newest 4in1 via drivers and i still can't get the speed up. It boggles the mind that a slower puter is tearing up my new one. if anyone out there has any ideas i would be greatly appreaciative. thanks for your help and ideas

MadOnion's 3DMark2000 tests the video card more than the processor. With that in mind, the GeForce2 GTS is a great deal faster than the voodoo card. This is obviously reflected in the scores you got. In several of Tom's reviews, the Voodoo 5500 is slower than the GeForce2 MX. My friend gets about 4700 with his MX card and a Duron 700.
So yes, believe it, the Voodoo 5500 is really that slow.
If you want even better scores, put the GTS in the TBird 950, you could easily get over 7000.
