it would be Planescape Torment, followed by BG2 (and 1). Also a
personal favorite, Hero's Quest (Quest for Glory)

Best movie ever: Alone in the Dark. Way to go Uwe! You not only made
it into an Ed Woodian film, but you managed to make it so bad it is
good! WOOO!!!

I still have pages and pages of maps on graph paper for The Bard's Tale. I
don't know what the hell was wrong with me back then. :)

For most fondly remembered:
Might and Magic III The isles of Terra (lots of good but not impossible
puzzles)
Knights of Legend (loved the equipment screens)
Wizards and Warriors (could have been a contendah)

Hmm my favourite favourite is Fallout/Fallout 2, but I dearly love all
the old Sierra Quest games, maybe KQ4 being the one that I loved the
most. Also Tombi/Tomba in all it's juicy goodness if we can vote for
the best RPG/platformer.

Well, duh. That's why it's in a "best _RPG_" thread. Do I have to think of
everything around here??

This vote is futile.
There can only be One Bestest RPG Evar, and it's name is Planescape:
Torment.

I have spoken.
