Hi,

I would like to know if the Intel Core i7 9xx series CPU's (eg. i7 920) supports Intel VT-d?
I find it very frustrating that Intel's product sheets doesn't show that the i7 9xx series have VT-d support, but they don't explicitly say that it doesn't support it either.

From my understanding of VT-d, it is a feature implemented by the chipset (motherboard) and doesn't have anything to do with the CPU.

Another question:
Would you recommend that I should go for a system that supports VT-d if I'm going to be running many XEN Virtual Machines, that will be used for hosting, which requires lots of memory and HDD I/O's? These VM's won't be using any PCI-E devices like graphics cards or USB.

Thank you
Chris
