Want to build my first computer

So i want to build my own custom build. I was wondering if I could use parts from my desktop or if I should just start over. I honestly have now idea what I'm doing and I just picked random parts from PCPartPicker.com. Could someone run through this list and change whatever or add something, try to keep below $700

The onboard sound on the motherboard should be fine; the sound card shouldn't be necessary. You will need a stronger power supply though (and a proper ATX supply that will fit a standard case). The CPU will come with its own cooler so unless you will overclock you shouldn't need a third party cooler.

What are you planning to do with the PC? Will you play games and if so, which?

That's not a great gaming video card. Let's trade a slightly less expensive case, get rid of the sound card, go with a 1 TB (but faster) HDD:

Any particular prebuilt you were considering from ibuypower?

If you build it you could save by using an OEM copy of Windows and upgrade the CPU

The difference between retail and OEM windows is that the latter is tied to the original motherboard it was installed on (retail is transferable, OEM legally isn't)
