Edit: I'm stupid, and the 8 pin was for sata power
Hi, so, I have a lenovo thinkcentre m92p with a 280 watt psu and I want to upgrade it to a 450 or 500 watt.
The mobo has a 14 pin, an 8 pin, and a 4 pin for the psu. Does the 8 pin need to be plugged in? What is it?
I've found adapters that are 24 pin to 14 pin, but they don't cover the other 8 pin.
Btw the 4 pin is by the cpu, and the 8 pin is by the 14 pin.
And I don't want to settle for a 1050ti, which I know would run off of the pcie (with the right model)
Was flipping the build and I don't want the user to have a non upgrade-able pc, that would leave a bad taste in my mouth
Edit: also, this is the full tower, so I'm not limited to the other psus and low profile cards
