Hey guys thanks in advance for any replies,

I've set up a Mikrotik RB2011 Series Wireless Access Point.

I connect to it no worries and initially the internet works fine, but after a few hours it loses internet connection even though the wifi connection is strong and good. This happens on multiple devices, iPhones and laptops. Is something maybe not configured right? Yesterday I "forgot" the network on my iPhone and re connected and the internet worked fine intially but upon coming back to it later on it was saying "no internet connection". Seems odd as the wifi connection is not dropping out, only the internet?

Under the Quick Set page the “Address Acquisition” is set to Automatic. Should I try a static IP address?

Right now the internet is working on my iPhone but not the laptop. Not sure if this helps or not.

For anyone experiencing this problem, I resolved this by disabling DHCP in the WAP configuration. Cheers
This was always the recommendation when you used a router as a AP. Most modern routers now have a AP mode. In addition to making the wan port another lan port it should turn off the DHCP function. Many also now receive DHCP rather than send DHCP so they can dynamically assign a management IP.

Mikrotik software is very powerful but that also makes it very complex it might not be as simple as most "dumb" consumer routers.
