Wattage For New Graphics Card

Hello,

I am looking to upgrade from a Sapphire Radeon R9 270x to a gigabyte 970 windforce edition.
My question that I'm after at the moment is if my power supply is good enough for this card. i have a 600w power supply do you think this will be good enough to support this card and the other stuff in my system

If you did not have problems with your 270x, you will be fine. Believe it or not, the 970 uses less power then the 270x. Nvidia recommened a 500w PSU.

270x uses 180W
970 uses 145W

depends on how old it is...over time a power supply will slowly degrading making it perform a little less than it did over time but if it is less than 2 or 3 years old that should be good unless you are going to sli the gtx 970s then you would "to be safe" need a 750W
