I've been having some pretty regular errors with Windows 10. My current build says it isn't Windows 11 compatible.
Add to that the fact that it's been 8 years on this PC makes me think it would be better to build a new PC.
PC Use:
I'm a photographer so I mainly use the PC for Photoshop & Lightroom tasks. No gaming.
Requirements:
I want 1 SSD hard drive (at least 200GB) for the OS, a separate SSD (at least 125GB) for the Photoshop/Lightroom catalogs & cache. 2 separate hard drives (at least 1TB) for photos & storage.
I've been using a i5 3.5gig processor...probably want to go with an i7 since some Photoshop/Lightroom tasks take a bit to complete.
At least 16GB ram...thinking probably 32GB
At least a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 since I run an extra wide monitor @ 2560x1080
No need for audio as I'm running an external USB DAC.
Thoughts on PC component suggestions?
Totally unsure on motherboard/ram/cpu options since it's been quite a while since my last build.
How beefy of a power supply will I need?
My current case has the power supply on the bottom already so I'm hoping to reuse the case.
Hoping to keep this build under $1000.
Thanks!
