Hello everyone,
So I've been trying to get my PC ready for Windows 11 and also set things up so I can enable Resizable Bar for my new GPU. Here's whats happening:
First thing, I realized my drive (which is a cloned drive from years ago) was set to MBR. After some research, I figured out that I needed to convert it to GPT. I successfully did that with the help of the Windows tool. After I did that, I went into my BIOS and Disabled CSM and turned Secure Boot "On" and rebooted.
This is where the weirdness started. When the PC first turned on, it just stayed with black screen. Nothing. Then after about 30 seconds, the Windows log-in screen appears. There was no post screen with the motherboard name or options to enter the BIOS. So I tried again. The same thing happened. There was no way to get into my BIOS. So I tried to clear my CMOS. I tried every way imaginable, but nothing worked. So I shut down, unplugged, and disconnected all my drives including my M.2. I rebooted and I was finally able to get into my BIOS. From here is enabled CSM and installed all my drives. Now everything is working as it did before, but I still cannot enable Secure Boot.
What in the world am I doing wrong? Here's the parts that I'm using:
Gigabyte B450 Aorus Elite
AMD Ryzen 9 3900X
Radeon RX 590 (trying to upgrade to an ARC B580
I'm currently on BIOS version F66.
So any ideas? I'd love to get Secure Boot enabled and still boot with my post screen. There has to be something I'm missing, but I just can't seem to figure it out! Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
