Hello. I recently changed the termal paste on my FX 8350 cpu and i noticed some weird looking marks on the sides of the cpu and i was wondering if anyone here knows what caused them. Also ever since summer started, i noticed my PC getting slower and i think the cpu is being throttled because of overheating. Max temp in the specs is 61 C and i saw it going up to 58 59 C while playing videogames, might be going even higher at mid day when it's hot in my room. All this leads me to believe the marks might be from over heating although it's probably not the case. What do you think ?

If you live in the northern hemisphere it's summer, that brings higher temperatures so it's only natural that ambient-air cooled PC temps will rise a couple degrees too.

What cooler are you using on your PC? and what case & fans? What is your motherboard and PSU?
