The internet in my desktop, my main machine, is very unreliable. Websites time out when trying to log in, YouTube vidoes buffer constantly, etc.

My internet itself seems fine. Verizion FIOS, 1gig connection. Speedtests all come back in the high 800mpbs. No problem streaming 4k content on my tv or watching videos on my Android table.

The desktop that's having issues is pretty beefy.:
  • Windows 11
  • Ryzen 5900x
  • 32gb of Ram
  • RX 6700xt
Latest drivers on everything. Having issues in both Chrome and Firefox. I seem to mostly notice it in Google based products (Gmail, Youtube) but that also could just be because I use those the most. Seems to be worst in Firefox. In Chrome I can log into Gmail. it takes a few tries, Firefox just gives me a "something went wrong" error.

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

PSU, Disk drive(s), etc..

Look in Reliability History and Event Viewer for any error codes, warnings, or even informational events that you can correlate with the website timeouts.

Reliability History is much more end user friendly so start there.

Event Viewer can be likewise helpful but requires more time and effort to grasp. Give it a try but remember that there is no need to rush through it all.
