I was back in the alley by the office yesterday making my usual rounds searching the trash. Earlier I was over at Walgreens and picked up my customary shopping cart I use to cart along the cans and discarded food I ususally find back in the alley. I looked in the dumpster behind the hospital and there was a whole frincking computer thrown away! I was wondering who would toss a whole computer in the trash like that and later found out it was Nadine. I dont know who Nadine is other than a 58 year old woman who drinks, has a lot a men friends she photograps a lot and as I was to discover looks pretty good nekkid for her 58 years
After changing the RAM around I had the computer running in three minutes. Nadine had put her password on the illegal copy of XP she was running, but I was past that and to desktop in another three minutes opening My Pictures folder. Her whole life was there including images of her always fun nights at the bowling alley as well as the considerable time she spent relaxing in the hot tub afterward. How she got that hot tube in the trailer court down the street where she apparently lived is a mystery to me. I know Steve who lives there and He dosn't have a hot tub in his unit. Nadine liked to gamble. Online gambling, race track and I think a recent stint as an escort is the likely way she earned a living. The OS had over 1000 instances of virus when I ran Malwarebytes. I ran Ccleaner and that software repaired a list of problems too long to scroll entirely, like 1200. Christine's, an interesting younger friend apparently, birthday pictures folder looked like the saturday evening work room gathering at Tokyo Lips Escort Service. A guy she called Carlos was her boss I'm pretty sure. He had on a yellow hat with a tall green feather sticking up and was wearing trousers like a Chippendale dancer would. He had bruises on his head stretching to his leg like He fell down drunk pretty often. The kind of picture that made you want to look him up just to say, 'stay classy Carlos!' Well, I wiped the hard drive and made a USB storage drive out it. I did keep one personal document of Nadine's. My Life Story. I want to refer to it should I ever feel down about ANYTHING that has ever occured in my life.
Here's the MB.
CPU 2.66GHz Sempron socket 478 which overclocks very nicely.
RAM 512MB 333MHz PNY
Nv 5200FX which may be overheating or the PSU is on it's last leg. This is the likely reason the PC was tossed in the trash.
80GB Barracuda 7200.7
Sony 52x with DVD ROM combo. Removing the remants of Carlos' hat feather from the tray and a shot of air got this unit wotrking
DVD ROM CD burn combo a second optical drive worth at least $5
Floppy drive
300 watt PSU which I am sure is of the highest junk quality available
TT HSF and TT 80mm exhaust fan which I saw at Fry's for like .40 cents after rebate
Any comments before reynod gets it for an upgrade. Reynod it's beige and yes, the protective door you asked about covering the front access USB ports is missing.
