WD10JPCX removed it from my laptop - I need to get my data external & want to attach to another laptop. what do I need? is there a shunt cable I need to power? default jump or does it have 2 powers? I'm sorry I'm new at this and I bought an SATA to USB connector adapter (22 pins) but realized I probably need an enclosure or Case ?? is it ok to have it lay there exposed?? What do I need to keep it protected?? The drive was pulled from my laptop and I'm trying to get the data. I don't want to mess anything up. If you can give me a tutorial and the tools I need to make sure I don't screw up the drive. I've read the hard drive has a default speed and another one. What do I need to plug up this drive, give it power, and what diagnostics would you do first before retrieving data? The drive kept slowing down previously when it was installed in my laptop.
