I am thinking of switching to AMD cards but i am kinda new to pc building so what is the main difference between the Sapphire Red Dragon and Red Devil cards ?
These are the cards i sawHey there,
Do you mean Powercolor as opposed to Sapphire?
Can you link the models you are looking at?
Alright thanks for the help so what i understand from this is thatAh, okay. So when it comes to a GPU purchase, and with only the same card (6800xt) as a choice then go for either one which has a minimum of two fans, and RGB if you like it. After that there is hardly any difference in the standard models versus the OC versions. They charge so much more for like 1-2% in performance. Not worth it. So go for a reasonable priced one, min of two fans, and you should be okay. You can always overclock the GPU later to give that extra 2% or so.
between the Powercolor ones, the only difference I can see is the fan style. Apart form that, no difference in specs.
PreciselyAlright thanks for the help so what i understand from this is that
They are all pretty much the same performance wise but only like the fans are diffrent?
And that you have to look at the price since they are mostly the same
Currently?😅Precisely
You've hit the nail on the head. That's the best way to proceed.
The difference in performance is minuscule, especially at the frame rates the 6800xt can push.
What are the rest of your PC specs. You may need a new PSU going with a strong GPU as that.
And i have a 750 watt gold plus psuPrecisely

I have a intel i5 5th gen
Gpu is a Gtx 770
I have 8 gb ram
And my mobo a asus tuf z87 or sumthing like that
But i was planning to do an big upgrade
So thats why i was wondering what the big diffrence was
I Think around 6-7 years i am not really sureAh, okay Well, just don't go install the 6800xt with your current system! You will be totally underwhelmed
The PSU may be enough. How old is it?
I was planning on that alwel was looking arpund 850 900 ishUnfortunately, you will also need to upgrade that with the new card. It's too old to be consistent providing power for the GPU.
Call back if you want some advice for the new system.
ThanksThey look different but all perform about the same. I would take whichever one is cheapest. This is true for every brand of card regardless of whether the GPU on the card is Arc, GeForce or Radeon.
Yes, I would highly recommend the Corsair RM850X. Pure quality and built to transfer from one system to the next. Would be perfect for a high end gaming machine.I was planning on that alwel was looking arpund 850 900 ish
Do you have any reconmendations?
