I love my laptop, everything is working well and usually have great performance. These are specs:

MSI GE75 Raider 2020
CPU: Intel Core i7 10750H
RAM: 32 GB DDR4
GPU: Nvidia Geforce RTX 2070 super mobile
Hard Drives: 512 GB SSD NVMe + 1 TB 5400 rpm

The problem is this 1 TB 5400 rpm is giving me bad performance with long loading times. Maybe there is a reason I have this 1 TB 5400 rpm, what is the best use I can give to this 1 TB? For me 1 TB is plenty of space, maybe I was thinking to storage some pdfs, will work well there?

Random storage. pdf, video, docs, etc.
Or, replace it with a 2.5" format SATA III SSD.

5400rpm laptop hard drives are built to save weight, not for performance.
My suggestion is to replace it with a 2.5" ssd and repurpose the HDD as an external backup device.
A sata ssd will be some 4x faster in sequential operations and perhaps 40x faster in random.
