LOL, Well I've had my RSX for 4 years, I hope I'm used to it by now.

Wow i never looked in this sub-forum. I drive a 96 civic hatch. 04 k20a2 swap, karcepts intake, asp header, rrc mani, drag cartel drop-in cams, hasport harness/axles/mounts, the list would go on like 3 pages. Ran a 12.98 @ 107 at Atco (I'm a shitty driver). I just started messing with computers cause i was getting tired of modding hondas. It's much cheaper lol. Even when buying higher end computer stuff.

With a 12 second car you don't have to be a good driver. :bounce:

Current cars:
-Milano Red 1993 Honda Civic SI
-Taffeta White 2000 Acura TL

I've had plenty more, but I've stuck with these two for the past 6 years.

Three cars in the family right now;

06 Scion tC. Great little car. It's got a decent balance of power, MPG, utility and fun to drive.

05 Dodge Magnum RT. It's basically a powerful limo you drive yourself. Great ride. Great power. Horrible gas mileage. Yeah, it's got a hemi.

05 Nissan 350Z. This is the car I use for autocrossing and other driving events, and or driving to them. I get to drive a lot of fast cars at the track and there are a lot of better cars out there. But not many at its price point. As a sports car, I consider the Z good at almost everything and great at almost nothing. I love that car.

The 350z I like but the later models, 370z, has too little airflow too the brakes. There's been a few cases now of the brakes melting and the brake fluid boiling. Car and Driver even had that problem on one they tested. If that was rectified it would be a pretty good car. They have a hard ride but I could see the fun of it being an autocross car.

I read that too. I have driven a Nismo 370 at the track, but not long enough to cause a problem with brakes. (unless they were really bad)

The only experience I have with a 370 under conditions that stress the brakes was at ZdayZ. I filmed a fellow autocrosser on a run down the Tail of the Dragon. He was in a 370 with the sport package. The brakes did ok, however a lot of 370 drivers complained about "limp mode" kicking in halfway down the dragon due to high oil temps.

An aftermarket oil cooler fixes the problem, but bumps you up a few classes for autocross. (Even though it doesn't really help in that venue)

That can be fixed with ceramic brakes couldn't it?

With all the money you spent on those modifications, perhaps you could have bought a better car? One that was actually balanced and had some handling, not just good for drags.

For sure but carbon ceramic rotors are still extremely expensive and I don't even think they make them for a 370z. If they did I bet the package would be $15k+. That's now putting that 370z in porsche territory. So just like what you said about the ultimateeyes car on how you could just have bought a better car. Of course some good cross drilled, thicker rotors with higher temp brake fluid and carbon ceramic pads would be in the $500 range and make it more reasonable. That would most likely work for average enthusiast. Also I'm talking about it being track ready, as a daily driver stock is most likely good enough.

Recently sold both my Nissan 350z and a Fiat 1.9 diesel Punto and now driving a Nissan Murano 2.5Dci (Diesel not the 3.5V6 version).

Very nice too. Different creature to both of the other two.

Finally nerds and cars can be as one! I love cars and love computers... didn't even know this sub-forum existed

At first I was about to call b.s. on you lol then I saw Peugeot and Vauxhall and realized you weren't U.S. (we never got a bugeye STI... sadly.. but post some pics up of that Spec C!)

2003 WRX, hate it... only because after modding the hell out of it tons of body work and money into it scared of scraping (low ride height), scared of door dings, scared to leave it in a parking lot, scared of pretty much everything.. so much that I don't get to really appreciate it. Fun as hell to drive though (with no bumps)
Mod list here to keep it short
Mods: Built bottom end EJ20, stock heads, Ported VF39 Turbo, HKS Full Exhaust, HKS Intake, STi Pink Injectors, Tein Coilovers, Rota 18x8.5 Wheels, JDM STi v2 front lip (fiberglassed on), OEM USDM Rear Lip (fiberglassed on), Zerosports sideskirts, EBC pads on stock calipers with Brembo rotors, Perrin Front and Rear Sway bars, Sti Pink front and rear strut bars, Powdercoated Royal Blue Hella Horns, JDM Spec Grill, JUN eyelids, JDM Rainguards, Bride seats with Sparco Harnesses, FMIC, and some other crap; painted Midnight Black with Blue Pearl Flake

I have a Dodge Neon and a Dodge Durango. I love both of them. One is for driving in the summer and the other one is for driving in the winter.

I am currently renting a 2012 Nissan Tida 1.8 hatchback.
Not a bad ride- good fuel mileage.

Just helped my little brother pick up a JDM 1990 Toyota Hilux with the 3L engine and aftermarket turbo. It has Old Man Emu front shocks and Bilstein in the back and Old Man Emu leaf springs all round with the add-a-leaf kits. He got new wheels and tires today, I don't know what he picked yet. Tomorrow he has a 1500km drive to do with it up to Yellowknife. He'll be sore from that drive.

My first car was a 1999 Ford Explorer
Now I have a 2003 Nissan 350z

I liked my explorer but was tired of having the big vehicle throughout high school and college since I was the one that had to drive everytime going out. So i traded it and bought my Z.
