:pt1cable: I recently purchased a no name (cheap) case in which to place my MSI 848P Neo motherboard, etc. There was, of course, no documentation with the case. There is a cable coming from the inside of the front panel that appears to be coming from the front USB outlet. It has a pig tail ending with 8 individual connectors. They read as follows: Power, GND, D2-, D2+, Power , GND, D3-, D3+. Where on the mother board do these connect? Thanks for any insight that you can contribute. (Other than ...."don't :non: buy cheap computer equipment"....lol!)

You have to check your mainboard manual for USB header. Usually there's 8 or 9 pins on your board (most common is 9 pins). Check for the assignments of those pins. If it's marked in the board by number (if 8pins), number 1 and 5 is the power, number 2 and 6 is D2- and D3-, 3 and 7 is D2+ and the rest is ground.

Try to check this the pins assignment in general : http://www.frontx.com/cpx101_2.html

You'll need to look through your manual to find the pin out for those wires and hook them up accordingly. I had to do that with my old Asus P4PE MB with my old trusty Antec case that looked like:

And it wasn't cheap back in the day.

Edit:

Nice find slice.
