I'm a long-time lurker and first-time builder looking for some advice on what GPU is best to pair with a MSI 1650S that I can currently buy for £165 ($205). I've been eyeing the Ryzen 5 3600 to pair with it for £155 ($192), however according to bottleneck calculators it will be too strong for my GPU.
Alternatively, would I not lose too much performance by downgrading to a Ryzen 5 2600 at £120 ($150)? It would save me £35 and wouldn't cause a bottleneck, but is it worth the investment in a better CPU if I plan to upgrade my video card in future (which I do)?
Any tips or advice would be massively appreciated!
My current setup plans:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor
Motherboard: MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX ATX AM4
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000
Storage: Crucial BX500 960 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER 4 GB Ventus XS OC
Case: Deepcool MATREXX 55 ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: Corsair CX 500 W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-modular ATX
