What CPUs work with the DQ67SW?

Hi,

So I have been wanting to upgrade my CPU, but I'm on a pretty cheap budget so I don't really want to upgrade my motherboard unless its pretty much needed. I was wondering what CPUs work with the Intel DQ67SW motherboard?

The CPU I have at the moment is the I5 2400.

You can use an i7-2600/2600K/2700K. I wouldn't bother with any less than an i7 as it would be too minor an upgrade. Even one with an old i7 isn't that big.

What are your uses? An SSD can be a far more impressive upgrade than a CPU. Depending on your needs.

CPU Support List for Intel DQ67SW.

Looks like the best processor is going to be an Intel Core I7-2700K, but unless you can get it on the cheap (under $40 or so), it's not worth the effort in my opinion.

My main use is pretty much for gaming. I know it wouldn't do that much but overall I think a new CPU would be a good upgrade from the fact that what I have could be considered 'outdated'.

I also got an SSD a few months back.
