Question What did the past months worth of Office updates do to Microsoft Outlook Home and Business 2021?

Did any recent Office updates cause issues for Office or change how it presents to the user, how it works? I did not switch to the new version they want you to try. I am having various issues. Emails are disappearing. It's not saving sent items. The interface looks different.

Microsoft recently snuck in a “Focused” view of the Outlook inbox, which makes some messages disappear. Turn this off and see if your messages return.

What version Office are you using?

In that case it's hard to say what's happening, without more specific information about your email provider, server settings, and other factors. If it's IMAP or Exchange Server then the easiest thing to do is to remove the account from Outlook and then add it back in again. Are the emails still all there when viewed via web interface?

For IMAP I find Thunderbird to be much faster and more reliable.
