2005 caddy cts 70000miles as my daily driver. All I've really done is a new intake and exhaust, not some loud one. I get about 30mpg on the highway with it.
2008 Dodge 4500 24000 miles as my work truck. It gets about 12mpg but it goes down some pretty rough roads up here in northern Alberta. U joints suck on these trucks I've already replaced the front ones. But it did start last January in -54 C weather while the Fords had no luck.
2009 Skidoo Summit Everest as my new toy. It has the 800cc engine with a 146" track. I haven't even picked it up yet, still waiting for a day off.

I'm driving a 1995 Corvette currently. Its like new actually. A 6 Speed manual, gets a little over 31 MPG highway and 23 MPG average. i just hit 126,000k Miles on it. And it only cost 5k. I would say that's a steel there. :) I'm also looking for a suburban with the 8.1 liter v8... I really want to make Al Gore proud. :p

Shelby is your daily driver? that's so awesome!!

if I had one, it would be my baby. Mine is at 213,300 now. Still going. To pass inspection this February I need 4 new tires, and a catalytic converter. And, a job ;)

Wow, not too many silverado owners in here.

I have an 06 Red Silverado with 34K miles (two tours to Afghanistan will do that to your mileage)

My wife drives a 98 CR-V with 125K miles and it's still going strong.

i understand both sides of the argument on daily drivers...

for example, put the shelby up and only take it out to play rarely to keep miles off of it, it will be worth more in the future.

All fine and dandy, but for me, i figure if i am paying for it; i am playing with it. it is like having a fine ass wife and never, well, "play" with her, just sit and gawk, there again; if i am paying for it, i am playing with it... ;)

I drive an '02 Ford Escape with the 3.0 V6 and all wheel drive. It has a somewhat rough body after being hit with baseball-sized hail and being rear-ended by a driver who was Driving While Elderly. That gets a few snickers from some of my colleagues that drive new BMW 3-serieses, Infiniti G35s, Acuras, and Priuses. However, it has only needed one repair in the 85,000 miles I have on it (a front wheel bearing), is easy to manuever around in cramped quarters, and handles well in the snow. It's also cheap to insure and costs me very little in the way of property taxes. The latter is a big consideration as I live in a liberal high-tax city (they tax cars heavily because they want you to ride bicycles :pfff: )I'll probably hang onto it until I need a pickup truck or it doesn't run any more. I am guessing the former since my brother had a similar '01 Escape that he put 150k on and traded in just because he wanted a new car.

If I were you, I'd have them help to pay your insurance instead of for the car. It would cost you your left arm every six months in insurance premiums since you're an unmarried teenage male driving a V8 muscle car- and that's if you are a good student and have a clean record. Get a speeding ticket or a DWI and you'll get an insurance bill that will make Bill Gates swear.

Yes, it has the stock Eaton on it right now, with a 4lb lower pulley resulting in 12 PSI max. It's a fun little truck for sure.

1998 BMW 540i - bought it new and do all the work myself - has 148K miles now.
My 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee had 214K miles, and was running perfect when I flipped it on the tollway last year. Walked away from the accident without even a whiplash! Thanks to safety belts and air-bags.
