Dont forget the 2nd hard drive to load ur games into, and send the paging file and temp internet files folder to.

then use ur 1st drive for other functions.

This technique helps keep ur pc running and loading fast.

I have 2 gigs of RAM so I turned my paging file off. Boots smoother than before.

Anyone wanna buy some 18gig 10k SCSI drives?

Why get a puny Quadro Plex with only 4 VPUs when you can have 1024 VPU with a SimFusion7000 array with 250X the number of chips for only 100 times the price !!! Bargain !!

Your combination of extreme graphics and meh processor is the equivalent of mounting a jet engine on a Yugo.
Kudos to you on your Cyber-Darwin Award!!!!

HUuhauhauh...Great!!! Maybe he'll take his cyber-genes out of the great cyber-gene pool of the internet!

Hey, I am building a liquid cooling system and I don't know if I need a fiil port or not. I have one of the bay resevoirs but is that enough? Can I just put the coolant in there and wait til it goes down the tubing and keep adding more?

here is how I do it and it probably isn't the safest method but it has worked to date:

Install the waterblocks and all tubing leaving enough slack in the tubes for moving components around and fore getting at the reservoir, and install the mobo in the case. Don't plug anything in and leave the board empty with no power. The safer method is once all is fitted, remove the blocks form the components and take the board back out of the case so just the tubes and blocks are hanging in there. If this is your first watercooling attempt than i strongly recommend you pull the blocks and remove the board.

With the PSU unplugged short it by finding the green wire with a black wire on either side of it and using a bent piece of wire connect the green wire to one of the blacks (if unsure look at the schematic or go to the manufacturers site). Now fill the reservoir as much as you can. You should be able to elevate it so the fluid flows as far as posible. You definitely want to make sure the pump has fluid at its face. never run the pump dry.

Ok, tubes and res are sort of full and pump is wet so plug the pump into a 4 pin molex. Making sure the PSU is switched off, plug it in. Now switch the PSU on. The pump should start up and begin pumping fluids. Fill the resrvoir as needed and don't let that pump go dry. If the PSU won't kick on then you need a little more load on it so plug a couple of hard drives and some fans in. What I do is hook up an old 360 watt PSU and use it for testing and filling.

Lot's of air wil be flushing around. Raise the res up and move the case aorund so the radiator dumps its air. Watch very carefully for leaks at any and all connections. Once the air is fairly well pumped out top off the res and seal it. Now let it run for at least 3-4 hours. 12 is better and watch for those leaks. The little weepers are the worst. After running for a few hours top off again and if no leaks you can start reinstalling and getting things up and running.

Its highly likely that this whole is just a sham by a bored little boy that was "inspired" by the $26,000 PC thread. Look it up, those are the only two places ships has ever posted, and I would be is ever likely to post...

So you came to show the power of the G80 huh? I still think this is a troll thread... but the thing is, I've been looking at different tech forums, and people actually think and recommend the Quadros for gaming...

this has to be a joke, if not then you are the dumbest gamer ever to walk the face of the earth

quadro is NOT for gaming it is a workstation gpu and is used for video editing, fx, and stuff like that

is it just me or is this thread reaching the same height as that guy that cut up a 7800GTX to fit into a PCI slot on his 4-6 year old dell?

WOW I JUST READ THIS WHOLE THREAD!

chips got a good point

i know you are still reading this thread chips

please read below:

ARE YOU RETARDED? 100 people tell you you are an idiot for buying that sli thingy, and you are backed up by your self, and a bench mark that says it will beat a 1900. MY 8800GTS PLAYS FEAR AT 1920x1200 AT FULL SETTINGS. EXTREME GAMING AT 800x600, I HAVE HAD TURDS THAT WILL GIVE YOU BETTER PERFORMANCE THAN THAT, AND THEY ARE BETTER TO LOOK AT!
Everyone go home, and thank God that you are not chips, unless you could keep your own brain, and sell that crap QUICK! chips you better get a work at home job with Dreamworks or something.
back to better gaming through intelligence.

oh yeah, way to trust apple for a benchmark. Good thinking. They do know their stuff when it comes to playing games, i mean mac is the essence of gaming.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! BURN! BBBUUURRRNNN!!!

i cant seem to find it now - must have been deleted but some guy (probably a freind of this chips guy) bought a 7800GTX for his old dell - and it wouldn't fit - so he cut the cold connectors off so it would fit - guess what? it did int go  i dont know if it was fake or not but i found it bloody hilarious like this thread where chips has already bought the cards - went on the forums to "brag" and when he find out he fucked up BADLY - clings onto some benchmark that beats a 1900 ATI card by 4 frames - just to try and comfort himself he hasn't completely fucked up - BUT HE HAS  where is he anyway? have we scared him off with our cheap crappy computers that run rings around his piece of expensive crap?

On the topic of video cards. eVGA 8800GTS or Diamond X1950XT
Which one should I get? And should I just go with the Diamond and wait for the ATi DX10 cards?

Is that with SoftShadows enabled?
Holy **** dude! Can anyone tell me what the performance differnce would be with 2 8800GTXs on an nforce 590 mobo as opposed to a 680a? And when are the R600 cards coming out?
Don't forget that he's also running a Core 2 E6400 overclocked to 3.4GHz and his 8800GTXs are overclocked as well. A single 8800GTX already massacres F.E.A.R., but RobsX2 just likes to show off.
