Hi guys,

I have a question. For a while now, I am thinking about upgrading my graphic card, because its pretty weak. I mostly play Fortnite, and now i can have around 90 FPS ingame (high res, low settings). Because of my 60hz monitor, i was bound to 60 FPS. I recently bought a new monitor, which supports 144hz. I am looking for a graphics card that can help me get 150 FPS or higher. What do you guys advise me?

Specs:
CPU: Intel Core I5-4570
GPU: Nvidia GTX 760
RAM: 16GB
Power supply: 450W FSP450-60EMDN
Monitor: AOC 24G2U/BK (https://www.amazon.de/dp/B07Y3RYLVH...olid=14RP1PFFMHLA1&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it )
Resolution: 1920 x 1080
Motherboard: MS-7848
It's a Medion PC.

At the moment I am thinking about a GTX 1060 , GTX 1650 or Sapphire Radeon RX 580 8 GB NITRO+.

The 1650 is buyable for around €150 (https://www.amazon.com/ZOTAC-GeForce-128-Bit-Graphics-ZT-T16500F-10L/dp/B07QF1H9YR/ref=sr_1_3?crid=1U9K1KDFFRI5F&keywords=gtx+1660+super&qid=1583334117&refinements=p_36:12000-18000,p_72:1248879011&rnid=1248877011&s=electronics&sprefix=gtx+1660,electronics,224&sr=1-3&th=1)

The GTX 1060 is around €250 I believe.

Radeon RX 580: https://www.amazon.com/Sapphire-Nitro-Radeon-GDDR5-Graphics/dp/B071Y7CKM2/ref=sr_1_11?keywords=Sapphire+Radeon+RX+580+8+GB+NITRO+&qid=1584222671&sr=8-11

I am willing to spend €150-250 but best would be around 200.

So, given my specs and my desires, what GPU is the wisest to take to get the recommended FPS upgrade without having to spend a lot?

And are there any other bottlenecks like power supply / do I have to upgrade other things as well? I do not know very much about PC's.

Thanks a lot in advantage.

PS: let me know when you need more info.

1660 vs 1660 Super - https://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/2544?vs=2542
Typically speaking the 5500XT is about 8% slower than the 1660. https://www.anandtech.com/show/15206/the-amd-radeon-rx-5500-xt-review/10
The 1660 is typically 10% slower than the 1660 Super https://www.anandtech.com/show/15010/the-nvidia-geforce-gtx-1660-super-review-feat-evga/16
That means that for the price performance if the 1660 Super is 20% more expensive than the 5500XT or 10% more expensive than the 1660 than the 1660 Super has the same price/performance ratio. Depending on the refresh rate that you want to game at, getting the faster card is worth while.

The 1060 isn't worth buying anymore. I would look at either a GTX 1660 or RX 5500XT 8GB. Both of those use less power than the RX 580 and offer equal or better performance. If you wanted to go to the top of your budget you could go with the GTX 1660 Super.

Thanks a lot to both! Looks like it is going to be a gtx 1660 (will have a look tomorrow which one) or a Rx 5500xt then. Specs looks promising.

As the price difference is around 40 euros, do you think it it worth it to go for the gtx 1660 super or do you think the gtx 1660 armor or Rx 5500xt will also do the job?
