I game at 1080p at 144hz my current setup is:
Gpu: Gtx 1060 3gb
Cpu: i5-8400
Ram: 16 GB 2666 mhz

Im looking for gpu because i Think that is my weak point, what should i buy

Your current video card is sufficient to play games on 1080p, except for the 144Hz refresh rate, which can sometimes tax the GPU, IMO. How does the card perform on your PC ?

For 1080p, the GTX 1060 is not a bad card, but if you want more performance in games, then you can upgrade your GPU...What's your Budget ? Which POWER SUPPLY unit do you currently have ?

For 1080p gaming, GTX 1660 Ti will do fine with average FPS around 100 (depending on a game). But if you want your average FPS to be near 144 with maxed out settings in most modern games (since you have 144Hz monitor), you'd be looking towards RTX 2060 Super,

pcpp: https://pcpartpicker.com/products/video-card/#c=446&sort=price

Note: with RTX 2060 Super, a good quality 600W range PSU would be needed (if you don't have one already). Any Seasonic made PSU will do fine, e.g: Focus 650 (80+ Gold), Focus+ 650 (80+ Gold), PRIME Ultra 650 (80+ Platinum) or PRIME Ultra 650 (80+ Titanium),
pcpp: https://pcpartpicker.com/products/compare/WrNypg,qn7v6h,7fndnQ,fnjJ7P/

Warranty wise:
Focus: 7 years
Focus+: 10 years
PRIME: 12 years (includes all PRIME models: regular, Fanless, AirTouch, SnowSilent, Ultra)

All 3 of my PCs: Skylake, Haswell and AMD are also powered by Seasonic. Full specs with pics in my sig.

Also, PRIME Ultra 650 (80+ Titanium) is the best 650W PSU money can buy at current date and with it, you'll get the highest efficiency (92%), tightest voltage regulation (0.28%), longest hold-up time (30ms), lowest ripple noise (14mV) and longest warranty (12 years) there is. Fully modular cables and toggle-able Premium Hybrid fan control too.

What PSU do you have? What is your budget?

You could throw in a 1660ti or 2060 super to get a higher refresh rate.
The 1060 6gb is fine for 1080p60 but may struggle for 144hz with high settings.

Not sure but think i have a 450 watt psu, would like a future prof gpu that Can play fairplay high settings 144hz in most mediocre games

If RTX 2070 is cheaper than RTX 2060 Super then it's better to go with RTX 2070 since it's a bit better GPU,

Though, with RTX GPU, you'd still need a good quality 600W range PSU. I listed some in my previous reply.

Also, your CPU should be able to handle RTX 2070 since i5-8400 is good CPU with 6/6 cores/threads and most games are mainly GPU bound anyways.

There is a
MSI GeForce RTX 2070 GAMING
On offer to 567 USD from 716 usd, gpu’s are very expensive here

If the RTX2070 is in your budget and cheaper than the 2060s, it is good for 1440p

If you can't afford that, the 1660ti or 2060 non-super are good options, but you may have to turn settings down in some newer games.

Well I'm surprised no one mentioned the RX 5700 and 5700XT, if you don't play games that have ray tracing support the 5700XT is $399 and performs better than the 2060 Super even creeping up to the 2070 Super in certain games. The only issue with the cards is that aftermarket coolers have not been released yet.

What psu Will i need for a rtx 2070

So you have finally decided to buy the RTX 2070 SUPER GPU ? Nvidia recommends a min 650 Watts HIGH quality PSU. What's your budget for the PSU ?

I would recommend you to get the following PSU models and brands. These are high quality units. Look for similar SKUs.

SEASONIC PRIME, and Prime Ultra, or FOCUS Plus GOLD, Focus Plus Platinum.

CORSAIR AXi, RMi, RMx 550/650W, SF, HX 2017, HXi.

FSP - Hydro PTM 550/650W.

Cooler Master - V series 550/650W.

Antec - High Current Pro, High Current Platinum, Earthwatts Pro Gold, HCG Gold.

Super Flower - Leadex Gold II.

be Quiet! - Dark Power Pro 11, Straight Power 11, Dark Power Pro P10.

EVGA -Supernova.
