So i was planning to save money to buy a new gaming pc. But i was wondering if i should buy graphics card first since my current pc is still working fine. I will also post my next pc specs here so i can give you ideas.

These are the specs of my current pc.

AMD A4-6300 APU Dual Core
2x2 DDR3 RAM 1600 mhz
500 GB Hard disk
700 Watts Generic PSU (I am also considering to buy a true rated psu and change my current one because i know its not okay to use a generic one if you're using a gpu)

Next pc specs:

AMD Ryzen 3200g
4x2 DDR4 2666mhz
500 true rated psu
500gb hard disk
120 gb ssd

Thank you!

That cpu is pretty bad by todays standards, but, for gaming, with a gpu it should still be okay.
not amazing, but better than the current apu.

My suggestion is get a gpu, then swap the pc later on when you save up more.
Also if you have a gpu don't get a 3200g, get either a 3100 or 3300X, since they're faster as a cpu, and you dont need the igpu.

i would not buy the gpu for that old build. The new build contains a APU,which is a amd cpu with integrated graphics+it can game a little bit. What is your budget for that graphics card?
Also if you can,but faster ram,2666mhz is really bad for ryzen
Also true for ram
But that apu is quite old by now. i think its not any better than current gen intel igpu, meaning it cant really game.

Thanks for that advice. My friend has 3200g with 8gb 2666mhz ram and he somehow has 60fps in games like fortnite and R6 siege with everything set to low?
I just thought it would be a good option until he gets a dedicated graphics card.

i'd say i have 150 usd saved right now. Any budget gpu that you recommend? I don't really play triple A games. But i do want to play gta v with high setting and decent fps.

The newer APUs, vega 8 and vega 11 and very respectable.
Especially when they came out in 2018 and intel had nothing in sight (Intels new igpu using Xe will challenge amd's apus head-on from the looks of it.)
But we are talking about an APU from 2013, and not even an exceptional one back then.
the hd8370D is not good for gaming, barely for desktop use.
if the vega 8 got 60 fps, i'd say that would get 6.

As i said in the other comment, if you want better gaming performance, get a better gpu now (its gonna be bottlenecked. just know that ahead of time)
And upgrade the cpu and platform later-on, when you save more.

for 150$, a gtx 1650 super is a good bet, but next gen 3000 series cards comeout in less than a month.
but lower end cards might take a bit more to show up so.. i'd say go for the 1650 super today.

Like everyone said that CPU is a disaster for gaming no matter what video card you get. Better of using the on board GPU on that thing. Then one day upgrdae to something like a 3600 or 3700x and buy a 1650Ti and you will be good to go with 1080p gaming medium settings to high with some AA added and you will get your 60fps without drops. Good Luck :sneaky:

I suggested otherwise.
Not everyone can afford buying everything at once, and he doesn't have the budget currently to get a new platform, so upgrading a gpu will give him a bit more performance today even while being bottlenecked, then later on flex its muscles when he does upgrade platform.

Yes your right my friend, very true. He can then keep his video card then later get a new CPU and RAM and MOBO. I hope he has a SSD at least. Tough times! I hope this PSU ampage on the 12v rail is enough for a new video card like the 1650Ti Im assuming or a AMD 570 and what not.

The 1650 is a really power sipping card, i think most, or maybe even all 1650 variants get power just from the pci-e slot, with no extra cables needed.
