What happened to the flight from Malaysia to Beijing?

One thing is sure the Malaysian authorities know more than they are saying, as do the Chinese.

Its got something to do with all of those Freescale employees going to China if you ask me.

My guess is there were some new ARM lithographic plates on the plane ... that someone didn't want to go to China ... an IP thing.

Thats my conspiracy theory.

I believe in my heart this plane was hijacked somehow. This is the most puzzling plane missing period.

This seems to be a complete hijack. Whether it be from someone of the crew, or passengers, this seems to be completely deliberate. The plane took completely unscheduled routes, that would require human intervention, radar has them hours beyond the transponder going off.

This plane was turned around, and headed back to Afghanistan/Pakistan area. History is no proof of the present, but it doesn't look good on that area.

Either it is crashed somewhere, or it has landed somewhere.

Crashed....why have there been zero debris seen yet?

Landed....none of the passengers have a cell phone? None of them?
10 days, 239 people...that's a lot of meals and bathroom breaks.

I think this plane was either hijacked or it crashed.Hopefully the people can be saved if it was hijacked.

there's an interesting article in Wired magazine that there might have been a fire. Which would explain the change of course, as the plane seems to have been headed to the closest airport. The article is very comprehensive, but then again, there are other things that are not explained, like with the cellphones that kept ringing.
The whole thing is very mysterious and leaves a lot of room for speculation, obviously. You try not to be influenced by all the media hype around it, but they're not making this very easy...

They might be thinking the same thing that is why it turned around and tried to fly back to Malaysia perhaps.

now the might have found parts that are possibly related to it. Who knows, even if this proves to be more than a clue, how much longer it will take them to find the blackbox. (think two years for the Air France tragedy). But, since these news broke, shouldn't they have narrowed down the search area and found more parts on satellite images from around that area?

Not if it was carried there by the currents. If the plane did go down, that debris has been floating around for almost 2 weeks.

Take 5 odd hours to get out there ... which if they left at dawn means about an hou to get to the search site now ... then they only have enough fuel for a couple of hours in the P3's then they have to come back.

The P8 the yanks have can stay a bit longer.

If we are lucky and the weather gets better they might know more in a couple of hours but its a big area.

Also the weather out there is bad.

You boys down under have any air craft carriers to send out for landing and refueling?

No, they don't. And you can't land a P3/P8 on a carrier in any case. Too large.
