I built a system a couple of days ago and everything seemed to be working fine. I installed Windows 2000 without many major problems (that's another post in another forum!).

Anyways, I went to load something last night and my floppy drive isn't responding. I checked the BIOS and it shows up. I checked Hardware Manager and it shows up and it says it is working properly. However, when I insert a disk, it won't read from it. It says either "Please insert a disk into drive A" (although one is there) or it wants to format the disk (which it then says it can't do).

Is my floppy drive fried? I checked the cables and everything is connected properly. What could be wrong?!?

Thanks!
