What is better between these two?

Intel i7-4790k with MSI GTX 970
or
Intel i5-4690k with MSI GTX 980

I will be doing minor video editing, nothing special and maaaaaaybe a bit of streaming. One thing that is sure is that I will be gaming A LOT.

i5 and 980 will get you higher framerates in games than an i7 and 970 IF gaming is your #1 priority. The i7 would help speed up video rendering if you plan on doing that often.

I'd go with the 4690K and 980.

For gaming, the i5 and GTX 980 is a much better option. If you'll only be gaming at 1080p I'd just go with the i5 and a 970 though

The hyperthreading of the 4790 will be a solid advantage in video editing and streaming.
