Shoot first, ask questions after you've blown off both kneecaps and stopped the bleeding.... that's how I'd handle it anyway.

Now if I can just be patient and wait for the outcome..........

Well people .. NOW FOR A REAL LAUGH !!!

I will guarentee you will all fall off your seats with this .. so hold on tight ..

After a few phone calls between late yesterday evening and early this morning (they received my nasty gram) .. I played along with the fella, and would you believe .. they are shipping me back the processor, overnight, Saturday delivery !!!!

Now, the interesting part will be .. will it be the same processor I sent them .. or different !! Will need to match information on the chip by the pics I have of the original.

So .. you still sitting ?

Will keep you all posted ...

So you convinced them that you would rather have the chip than the money? When in reality it is your intention to burn them by turning them in to Intel?

Well, I hope that your conversations with Intel has left you with the impression that all of this hassle will be worth it.

That's pretty nuts. I bet it'll be a different processor. If its the same one, then maybe intel will do something about it.

What's happening on the intel side??? can you tell us yet? Sounds like *something* is happening since you can't tell.. hehe.

2 pages w/out me

Hey, make sure when you get your processor it is in a RETAIL BOX w/ the FACTORY SEALED sticker in BOTH SIDES.

if not, demand them 😉

BTW, they told you they were gonna give you money back, and now they are sending you a new processor? wtf is this company from?

Long time, no see, Slim. What ever happened to your forumstorming?

If the company is stupid enough to send the original processor back, then they will get raped by Intel. If they send a different processor back, the OP has pictures that prove that he had an ES. And the company gets raped by Intel. Either way, the idiots lose.

They could be trying to make it all right. It could have been a disgruntled employee who packed you a ES instead of a retail/oem one and took the good one for himself. It's not always the companies fault, they do have to take responsibility, dont get me wrong. If they try to make it right and fix the mistake you don't have to be an ass and stick it to them. The phone conversation, depending on how professional they were, lets you know a lot about the company too. There are lots of variables and the sort, but no one has mentioned this point of view, so I thought I would.

I would say, if they send you a good processor and try to make it right (obviously overnight saturday shipping is a start) I would call it good.

My $0.02

Well, if you read the OP's earlier post, you could see that they stubornly defended that it is ok selling a ES. So, it is not an employee exchanging chips in shipping nor can the company be in good faith when they defend sending an ES. It will be interesting knowing the end of this "crime novel".
