Hello. I am new to overclocking and I have some questions that I would be very glad to get awnsered. First of all my cpu is a 6600k clocked at 4.3 ghz at 1.27Vcore. In CPUID My vcore goes from 1.22-1.27 but my VID goes from 1.16 all the way up to 1.31.

To my question. What is VID and how is it related to my vcore?
And is my VID in any way dangerous?

Here are som screenshots regarding my problems:

Solution
In simple terms the VID is the voltage requested by the processor and the Vcore is the voltage received by it. It isn't a very useful indicator for overclocking. There is normally a difference between VID and Vcore because of Vdrop and your individual settings.

Your numbers are all safe. Skylake can be given up to 1.4v Vcore safely.
