Question What is wrong with my computer?

So it all started when I moved. My computer would occasionally not detect my boot drive. No worries though I would mess around with the sata cables then reselect my boot drive-in the bios and all would work fine. But then it kept happening, but I would do the same and it would work for a week or so. Now though it just keeps crashing after I mess with the wires. It can find the boot drive for a few minutes enough to boot my computer then it crashes and can't find it again. What should I do? I'm planning on tearing it apart this weekend and clean it and it's contacts. Is there something I'm overlooking?

I would replace the drive data cable....not just clean the contacts.....replace it.
There may be something wrong in the connectors themselves.

You can also check the power cable...but out of the two...I think it's more likely the data cable.
I replaced it with the cables from my other drives that work and I still ended up getting the same thing.
