Hi

I have a MSI Optix MAG274QRF-QD. I received it last monday. Had it checked for backlit bleeding and dead pixels and it suffered no issues.
But now it turns out on the right bottom side near approx. 5 pixels above the tray icon where the speaker icon is there's a dead black pixel.

My question is would you guys return it? I mean it's in the corner soft of speak. The corner is like a "glance" area and side information across all software. So it's not a main area. I can argue against it and say at least it's not in the middle where most of the work takes place.

But damn the thought drives me up the wall. It's 1 dead pixel. It's all in my head now.
For 447 dollars. I don't know if I should risk it. Have you had a monitor where the dead pixel was unnoticeable mainly due to its location you didn't return it?

If it's 1, I wouldn't bother. If it's multiplying, then I'd contact seller and MSI about the issue. Then proceed to an RMA on the panel if they deem it beyond the threshold for dead pixels. I think Asus had 7 dead pixels in their manual;/warranty guide.

Seems MSI have a threshold of greater than 5 for dead pixels;

to allow for an RMA/warranty claim.

Thanks :) I will wait and see how it develops.
