no this is right after it was bought, still stuck on the same problem since buying it...
this is most probably an issue with your motherboard's bios, I find it hard to believe that both the sticks are faulty
since you've tried one stick at a time.
try resetting the bios by removing the cmos battery for 5 minutes

also try both auto/manual memory speeds

alright, we have solved it.. for some reason someone set up the frequency to 800mhz. .and it works comepletely fine after setting it up to 3200mhz :)

Glad you figured it out. :) Your boyfriend probably did it and didn't remember, and kudos to you for sorting it out for him. (If he doesn't know by now that you're a keeper for this, dump his a...)

Hahaa thank you, but it was set like that from the store already.. so someone had to do it there and my bf ended up calling customer service and he changed it with them navigating him through the BIOS :)
