I've been inspired by Linus' video here:

I have a work laptop and a gaming PC, and would like to get an ultrawide monitor to best accomodate them both. This would be a heck of an upgrade.
However, it seems that only LG's software can support this! Or at least, so far as I can tell. Obviously, the above video keyed me in to this feature for LG.
I need a new monitor now because I can't connect my work laptop to this one within any sort of reason at all (trust me). To be able to plug both in to the same monitor AND see them both at the same time on the same screen (switching between control of the two with my G604 Lightspeed mouse's bluetooth/not-bluetooth feature) would be hugely beneficial. Note: I cannot install any software on my work laptop.
Does anyone know if I am strictly limited to LG for this screen splitting feature? Or are there other brands out there to consider?
