Hello everyone,

What other to buy than GeForce RTX 2070?

interest me - older on NVIDIA Chipset - GDDR5 but stronger from GeForce RTX 2070 - or equal... i.e. such that once was expensive (my budget max. $ 550)

and is GDDR5 RAM much weaker than GDDR6?

Thx. for help me!

Solution
Userbenchmark is NOT a good site to compare performance. It's only good to see if your systems runs ok or with an issue. I would NOT suggest you to trust those results.

and what it offers - GTX 1080 Ti - 11GB!

The card had often guarantees 5 years ;) - and I can buy it with warranty min. 2-3 years.
You will be buying OLD tech that will not be supported as long as the brand new 3060Ti. Also it is almost impossible to max the 8GB of VRAM in Full HD (1080p). I game at 1440p (higher res requires more VRAM) and the most I have used so far is 6,4GB in a modded game.

Core clocks can't be compared between different generations or between cards that have different amount of Shading Units, Tensor Cores or RT cores. There are...

Hi, thx.! (y)
and something cheaper and also strong ? and with GDDR5 ? e.g. ZOTAC ( e.g. 2-3 years ago - if it exists) which used to cost 700-$1000?

what do you think about RTX 3060 SUPER? and is a better choice than RTX 2070? ( 3060 SUPER - price well below $400/not bad parameters)

and which one is the best with RTX 3060 SUPER?
e.g.
Palit GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER JetStream
Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2060 Super

3060 super does not exist. You are referring to 2060 super. There is NOTHING better than a 3060 Ti at this time (if you buy it in a normal price and not overpriced due to scalpers) when it comes price vs perfomance ratio.

Why are you so fixed on GDDR5? There is no compatibility issues if you are worried about that.

because I would like to buy a stronger / older one + from the high line as I wrote above,
because I do not need GDDR6 so much (of course if there is such a possibility).

Are also versions RTX 2070:

Maybe: GeForce GTX 1080 Ti ? 👽

and Maybe: Zotac GTX 1080 Ti?

First of all, you linked GPUs that all of them had GDDR6 except 1080Ti that has GDDR5X. The logic I want something stronger / older but not GDDR6 makes absolutely no sense. You only GAIN from GDDR6 and not lose, so it's definetely worth buying GDDR6.

If you want to spend money to something that is older, probably used (so no warranty) and with far inferior performance, be my guest, it's your money.
But just to inform you about performance differences:
3060Ti is
  • ~17% better than 2070 Super,
  • ~20% better than 1080Ti,
  • ~31% better than 2070,
  • ~37% better than 2060 Super,
  • ~55% better than 2060
That is raw performance without considering better and newer technologies like 2nd gen Ray Tracing and DLSS.
Compare that difference with the price you want to pay and decide what is worth and what not.

Hi, thx. for answer!

Right this graphics card 3060Ti is great! (quite expensive now :( )

👽 but...
I need a card for one game ;)
where GDDR6 is not a priority... but quantity is important in time - GB / GDDR and max Full HD.
and what it offers - GTX 1080 Ti - 11GB!

The card had often guarantees 5 years ;) - and I can buy it with warranty min. 2-3 years.

You know maybe:
How big is the bandwidth / between GDDR5 - ? MHz v GDDR6 - ? MHz - in %?

You agree with this benchmark's

GTX-1080 - without TI

To sum up... I'm thinking of buying with models:

  1. GeForce GTX 1080 Ti / GDDR5x - mainly by the 11 GB, GDDR5X, and 352-bit / Core Clock 1481 MHz/ benchmark / best priced- I don't know what company yet - from £250.00 to £330 - Ebay
  2. Palit RTX 2060 Super JetStream / GDDR6 or RTX 2060 Super/ GDDR6 - best priced
  3. GeForce RTX 3060Ti / GDDR6 - I don't know what company yet
I consider that these are best priced options :p and continues with good warranty! for user/not company.

What do you think about it?
Do you recommend something other with Nvidia for GTX / GDDR5/x ? 👽

Core clocks can't be compared between different generations or between cards that have different amount of Shading Units, Tensor Cores or RT cores. There are different architects built in different manufacturing process and using different power draws. It's like comparing 6000rpm in a Fiat 500 and 6000rpm in a Bugatti Veyron.

  3. GeForce RTX 3060Ti / GDDR6 - I don't know what company yet
So now, you want to buy not new, but from ebay, so no warranty again...

If you only care about one game, just watch a youtube video with it played with a 1080Ti and with a 3060Ti.

About the prices, I agree, it's expensive right now but it will begin to normalise soon. If you can't wait, pick whatever you want that's within your budget.
