Looking for a cheap SSD around $30 that will be used to store windows and main files, not for storing games or videos. Im just looking for something to run the system in general quicker (not in need of too much gb) do you have a good ssd around that price thats quick and reliable? Also can someone either send me a forum or video on how to install an ssd as a windows boot option if I already have windows on my hdd( I want to transfer my windows from hdd to ssd and store everything else on hdd)
Thanks

I have
Sapphire RX 580 Nitro +
AMD FX 8300
16 GB DDR3 Ram
Seasonic S12ii 620w PSU
760GMA MS-7641 P34 Mobo

Thanks for the info, I would like to know how would the process for installing an ssd go if I already have an os and games on my hdd? Would I install windows on my ssd and delete it from my hdd? Delete everything from my hdd and redownload all my files? That’s what has stopped me from upgrading to an ssd I have no clue how to transfer, or manage what goes where so my question is how would I go about that? Thanks
You can use a program such as EaseUS to transfer the OS over but it would also carry over your files.

As long as you don't have a lot to reinstall or a slow internet I've always preferred just doing a clean install of the OS onto the SSD then...

There's no software that will only transfer the OS from the HDD to the SSD, it will transfer everything on the HDD over so a clean install of Windows on the SSD will probably be your only choice if you HDD greatly exceeds 240gb and you'll want to leave at least 20gb free so it continues to run fast.

As for which SSD I'd get for under $30, it would be this Kingston.

PCPartPicker Part List

Storage: Kingston - A400 240 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($29.99 @ Amazon)
Total: $29.99
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

As long as you don't have a lot to reinstall or a slow internet I've always preferred just doing a clean install of the OS onto the SSD then wiping the HDD and starting fresh but I usually only have a few games downloaded at a time and my internet is fairly quick so the whole process for me to get the OS installed and at least one game installed (so I can game while others download) is like an hour.
