Im having issues where my cpu is currently getting to around 90c when playing games, and its around 45-60c idle. The ambient temp is somewhere between 35-40c. What cpu cooler would you guys recommend? Because im pretty sure i need a new one

I would stick to an air cooler if I were you.

The reason being is that air coolers exhaust hot air whereas AIO water coolers intake air from outside. If the ambient temperature is almost 40C, then the fans won't be providing cool air to the radiator.

In a hot or humid climate it's always better to focus on exhausting air from the case rather than bringing it in.

Any you could recommend? Is the Hyper 212 any good? And would that bring my temps down very much?

The Hyper Evo 212 is a good model although in your situation, with such high ambient temperatures, you might also consider the following. You also need to take into consideration how much space you have in your case.

Noctua NH-D14
Noctua NH-D15
Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 3

Would the Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 3 make a good difference?

Do you mean the 212 x or the 212 evo?

Wow must be lovely to have that sun!!!

I am in the UK and temp inside my house is currently about 20 degrees C. My i5 4690k operates at about 25-35 degrees C with the evo212 hypercooler, so about 5 to 15 degrees above ambient depending on load and that's with all the fans at around 40-60%.. so overclocking on the evo212 must be easy for me, but I haven't played with those options yet.. so an evo212 and good intake and exhaust should see your CPU at 45-60degrees C...

My trusty old Athlon XP3000 is running at 45-60degrees C with all the fans running full speed however... :) it's been happy that way for ten years!

Sorry to keep bothering you, but do you have any idea what kind of temps i could expect if i go the noctua d15 or the hyper 212x?
