So I was rendering out a video while on my bed resting. I hear my PC turn off and look over and see smoke. Opened it up and turned it on and something caught fire. :|
Id actually challenge you to find a motherboard worse than that! Youd be better off getting a CM 690 II, spending $40 on fans, and getting a decent MSI/Asus Motherboard.

Okay I just got done building the PC, I went to micorcenter and got a HAF 932, an Asus mATX motherboard(guy said that this is fine, best bang for the buck), and I also got a Cooler Master Hyper 212+. I installed everything, and now windows is giving me *** on startup.
Did you do a fresh install with the new board or just install everything as was and try to boot up? If it is the later, I would do a fresh install of Windows and go from their. If did a fresh install, I'll let jaquith continue on with his great advice 😀

Yeah, I finally re-installed 7. I installed it over my current OS, and moved any files I needed from windows.old to my documents, then deleted it. Overall product came out pretty good 😀
Oh and my BIOS was acting up, it was reading IDE hard disks and not finding them, and trying to boot off of my second hard drive. It just gave me a mean mess when trying to boot like "Reboot and select proper media device" or something like that. :|

+1 -- Or you can try a REPAIR install from the Windows CD - (this replaces all of the system files\drivers like it would on a new install but keeps all of your programs and settings) - but will sometimes leave remnants of the old setup so going the new install is probably best (unless you do not have backups of needed files\programs to reinstall)
